I was watching Morning Joe today and when they were talking about the resurrection I missed the part about Ronald Regan. The congress had to take time to extend the committee that is handling the year long birthday party (Christ gets one day plus 52 Sundays).  We were also told that the tax payers weren’t paying for the group, about thirty five times and it wasn’t costing the taxpayers anything.  Not counting anything but wages for representatives  174000/1730 (number of day in a year x 2 to make 1/2 day) x 435  (number of representatives)=43,751 dollars with no opposition?

Would the Republicans agree to work like the rest of us and only get paid by the Federal Government when actually in Washington. The States would pay the rest and could then cut their pay when it was in a financial bind or wanted to give corporations another tax cut?

Since the privileged will soon be the only people who can afford to drive can we start charging them to repair any potholes they report?

Which will Representative Ryan do after his last town hall, change his stance on medicare and tax increases for the rich or quit saying he is listening to the people?

Senator Ensign  another moral conservative that isn’t moral need I say more?

Listening to a group of politicians from Iowa one said  the states seceding in the civil war era were constitutional even if their reason was immoral. Maybe he wants to go to war so the federal government will rebuild his state?

Here is an idea. The Republicans think Ronald Regan was great he lowered the federal tax maximum rate to 50% over 171550 phased in to this amount in 1985. Why don’t we use his wisdom, and of course realize that inflation has occurred, go back to that rate over 1,000,000. that would do two thing. First it would transfer the wealth back where it was before the upper transfer(Rush things can transfer 2 directions only your listeners don’t understand that). Secondly if an increase of 4% will net 700 billion in 10 years then 15% will give us 26+ trillion. pay off the debt and rehire the cops and teachers. We might even be able to fix a few bridges. I’ll bet the cost of election would go down because there would be less free floating money. I would even give up my argument for no cap on payroll and medicare taxes.

Let’s pass an amendment say that we can never again fight a war off the budget. We can never fight a war where everyone is engaged either through service or rationing and taxes. We will never again rebuild the country we go to war with and there is no such thing a a police action except those joined by the rest of the world( shared responsibility). I think Dwight D Eisenhower warned us of this. George Washington said we should mind our own business.

One place I stand with the Tea Party. We should reevaluate our foreign aid. You know like Brazilian Wheat , Exxon Oil, countries like that.

Maybe help is on the way. Did you see where the Chinese hackers went after their version of google. We could all benefit from that government retribution.

The Republican amendment to the 9/11 Health and Compensation act added to prevent the law from passage is in effect How much money could we save by not running every first responder through the FBI terrorist list. Repeal This !

How stupid do the Republicans really think McCain is? He wouldn’t have challenged the legality of Obama’s birth. Please he would have joined the tea party to get elected. Need proof check his Senate campaign.

The Republicans want tort reform. They say the reason it is not considered is because of the Democrats ties with the bar associations. Once again even if they are right their solution is wrong. It seems that these politicians still forget that the free market is a dream. They need to not have tort reform they need to pass laws that would penalize outrageous acts performed by the medical society. They need an over site group that can really police this market.

Senator Grassley said on national television just a few days ago that 250,000 dollars should be a ceiling for malpractice Torts. I think he should read some of the reports his staff gets. While I’m sure he would use the following report to show the weakness of government health care, the real information would pass him by. There isn’t a report on this from the present watch group,AMA (Avoid Making Accusations), for non governmental procedures.

After reading he might realize that he has now set a price of 250,000 on human life.

The report entitled PREVALENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS OF NONPHYSICIANS WHO PERFORMED MEDICARE PHYSICIAN SERVICES (click to read) written by the Office  of the Inspector General said that:

Unqualified nonp hysicians performed 21 percent of the services that physicians did not perform personally. In the first three months of 2007, Medicare allowed $12.6 million for approximately 210,000 services performed by unqualified nonphysicians. These nonphysicians did not possess the necessary licenses or certifications, had no verifiable credentials, or lacked the training to perform the service. Nonphysicians with inappropriate qualifications performed 7 percent of the invasive services that physicians did not perform.

Now I personally don’t think these doctors should just be sued that allowed this. I think

they should not only have to pay back the over payments and incur a fine for stealing. I think they should also be prosecuted for endangerment based on the type of invasive service.

I’m not a fan of frivolous lawsuits. There must be a way to reduce these. Putting a cap on the amount the wrong doer can loose is not the way. Maybe if that person had to pay a portion like a mandated percentage or amount before any insurance could kick in. Maybe a tort grand jury of sorts for civil lawsuits to throw them out or approve them before going to trial.

Senate republicans take note. Quit saying the government can’t run anything and start passing laws that will punish the thieves in our society. Then and only then will our system work.
