The Democrates Making a Comeback on the Health Care Road Show

Image by Getty Images via Daylife Since the beginning of August the tone of the town meetings are starting to turn. In the beginning the Democrats  made a the worst tactical blunder in their pursuit of health care reform. They didn’t read the bill nor were they very well briefed. They thought the other side would need a week to sift through it and they were handed talking points. The Republicans knowing this was their only chance to come back for years with help from those that earn their living telling Americans that Democrats are communists, anti religion, and have a European virus that makes them just want us to move our continent over to the other side of the ocean read it ... Great Story on Ted Kennedy

Perceptive and carefully reported, drawing heavily from candid interviews with the Kennedy family and inner circle, Last Lion captures magnificently the life and historic achievements of Ted Kennedy, as well as the personal redemption that he found. As Peter S. Canellos and his team of Boston Globe reporters show in this revealing and intimate biography, the gregarious, pudgy, and least academically successful of the Kennedy boys has witnessed greater tragedy and suffered greater pressure than any of his siblings. At the age of thirty-six, Ted Kennedy found himself the last brother, the champion of a generations dreams and ambitions. He would be expected to give the nation the confidence ... Read More

C-Span Speaker On Heathcare Uses Deception

Today on C-Span another of those Heritage Foundation thinkers talked out of both sides of his mouth to try and prove a point that doesn’t exist. Dennis G. Smith is the Senior Fellow in Health Care Reform at The Heritage Foundation’s Center for Health Policy Studies. Just like most of his comrades from this organization, he makes Anne Rand seem like a liberal. This gentleman’s expertise is Medicaid. He has written papers on health care but if you read them they aren’t based on Medicare but on  Medicaid. One program is is welfare and the other is a paid program. While I will agree they both need fine tuning both are well liked by the majority of the public. These healt... Read More

Obama’s Organizing for America telecast 09/20/09

At 2:30 today President Obama addressed Organizing America on health care reform. He started out with a little history lesson about previous attempts at health care reform and social security.. He explained that many of the retorts against social security are the same for health care reform. Then he explained the fears of many people including loosing what they have. But as the discussion went on he warned that the status quo would disappear if things stay the same. The cost increases will make Medicare go in the red in just eight years. He said he favors a government option because it will put competition into the market. The program then turned to question and answers. The first came from ... Read More

Help Me in Getting Real Healthcare Reform

Folks I need your help. If we are going to get a government option we must turn the tide. Instead of complaining about those dirty tricks the conservatives are playing we must go on the offensive. How you ask? My idea is to use scare tactics just like they do. See My Answer To Sarah Palin on facebook and get the word out. flood the Internet with insurance companies rejections, turning down common procedures as experimental, post every law suite you can find they yhey lost. Print their ceo and upper management salaries and bonuses and corp profits. Expose which hospitals they own. Go on the offensive the other side expects us to just sit back and cry. Lets let them know what they are standing... Read More

Republican Healthcare and Tort Reform

The Republicans want tort reform. They say the reason it is not considered is because of the Democrats ties with the bar associations. Once again even if they are right their solution is wrong. It seems that these politicians still forget that the free market is a dream. They need to not have tort reform they need to pass laws that would penalize outrageous acts performed by the medical society. They need an over site group that can really police this market. Senator Grassley said on national television just a few days ago that 250,000 dollars should be a ceiling for malpractice Torts. I think he should read some of the reports his staff gets. While I’m sure he would use the following ... Read More

Senator Grassley You Rock

I must give you credit Senator Grassley you put on a good show. Just like the rest of the ultra conservatives at their town meetings they talk to those that believe in a Christian God. Unfortunately our most righteous have missed the message. Even the disciple that betrayed him was never excluded or stopped. Those that were executing him were not spurned but forgiven. Today’s ultra believers have no trouble excluding whole groups of people, their compassion is as small as their tolerance for someone Else’s beliefs. During the Supreme Court hearings Senator Grassley your mind was made up before you ever heard Sonia Sotomayor testify. Your job was to see if she was qualified but ... Read More
