Christmas Present Ideas Patriotic and Religious Symbols
With all of the families that are affected by our wars. A patriotic present might be a good idea. Many people have become politically aware not only in national subjects but state and local interests have also become important. Many people fly the Stars and Stripes on designated holidays but many people have other things they are also loyal about. We could fly our State flag or we could show our passion for our religion the same way. Maybe wear old glory cufflinks ,have a bumper sticker, kitchen magnet, or for the Obama fanatics a bobble head doll. There are garden hangers for all seasons and holidays to show our pride. Each present is individual and what one person thinks isn’t right m... Read More
Devising a Real Heath Care Plan
Now the real heath care debate begins. After weeks of Representatives and Senators giving the same speech each time the committee met or on the floor it is time now to really build the bill. I want to give this notice to Nancy and Harry and all Republicans. Your all wrong!!! The right form is single payer. Before you can get to this you must reform Medicare. That really is the first step. You can set fair payment schedules, change the direction from quantity to quality, reduce the number of government agencies, create jobs, install a buy American policy, create real insurance as it was meant to be,eliminate the useless AMA and the extravagant insurance salaries, keep jobs and money in the US... If You Like Your Medicare Then Beware of the Patients Choice Plan
We are now on page 8 of the patients health care choice bill. A bill that according to those that wrote it will cost 600 billion dollars which is a savings of only 30 billion a year and really doesn’t pay for itself while decreasing coverage for the poor and giving a tax break to the rich. It also damages the Chip program by integrating the poor children into the adults plan. They say that in addition to giving a tax break they will provide enough money to buy a private plan that best suites their needs.(I am ugly and the plan should cover elective plastic surgery. Will they cover this or will they choose which plan you can receive by limiting the amount they will pay? The last time ... Read More
Patients Choice Act or The Believe It or Not Approach
Yesterday I covered the myth of choice in the way health care is administered today. Today I will try and cover the Republican plan called the” Patients Choice Act”. It really should be titled “How to Make Nothing Sound Like Something.“ The very first thing this bill would do to keep government out of health care is to set up a committee (like home land security) to coordinate between the governments health agency’s. This should save money by eliminating duplication of effort. This is to help with changing the American lifestyle and have us eat better, exercise more and quit smoking. (I wonder if they will pay for this with tobacco taxes?) This group will submit... Read More
Why You Can’t Trust Conservatives With Your Health Care
Some of the information in this article came from 2000 which is very important to the discussion today. The first thing you will notice is that for the next eight years this problem while still growing was ignored by the government. You will also notice that the very things the Republicans are telling us to do were shown not to work in the report they had compiled. These are the same group of politicians that are considered the party better at national defense. Before I go into the main purpose of this I would like to digress to a short article in the Air Force Times that shows a side of this discussion that has been ignored. Today the Republicans offered their health plan. Waiting until the... Read More

What The Republicans are Saying
The Republican double talk has been fooling the very people their way of thinking hurts. Basically what they are very good at is changing the language. They create new definitions by twisting anything they want to do into a personal plus. The latest example of this comes out of the obviously large spending that has happened this year. “We are passing the debt on to our kids”. Now that would be a noble statement if they also weren’t for “Lower taxes so the American public can decide how to spend it”. Can you tell me how you pay off the debt incurred buy the wars we are still in if you bring in less money? Wouldn’t that be passing the debt on to our childre... Read More
