The USA isn’t going to pay it’s bills. The states and 700 cities will be credit down graded. If we increase the debt limit government will go right on spending. OMG OMG OMG As painful as default would be we would as Democrats gain. I see where John Boehner is back on the its our way or shut the country down road. It has been common knowledge that some of the new Tea Party group were not going to vote to increase the debt limit. You have argued for the raising of the debt limit in the past so we know you can get the between 78 and 100 of your own party votes you will need to get it done. You and your party are in a no win spot. If you don’t raise the debt limit your actions will increase the deficit by accelerating the time our interest rates will go up. Barney Fife and the Preamble, posted with vodpod At the beginning of  this congressional session the constitution was read on the floor of the house of representatives. Each incoming Senator is given a pocket copy (a tradition started by Sen Byrd). They along with everyone else elected to a federal position pledges to uphold the constitution. Even though the ability to read is not a requirement for the job I don’t believe we have any literate dependents  at work here.
