My Answer to Sarah Palin

Sunday Aug 9, 2009

Sarah you have moved into a special realm. You have gotten the attention of millions of people, many of which trust you. No longer are you talking to a few people in Alaska, what you say effects the whole country. Giving those expected Beauty Queen answers like “save the world” or this paragraph from your Facebook post:

The Democrats promise that a government health care system will reduce the cost of health care, but as the economist Thomas Sowell has pointed out, government health care will not reduce the cost; it will simply refuse to pay the cost. And who will suffer the most when they ration care? The sick, the elderly, and the disabled, of course. The America I know and love is not one in which my parents or my baby with Down Syndrome will have to stand in front of Obama’s “death panel” so his bureaucrats can decide, based on a subjective judgment of their “level of productivity in society,” whether they are worthy of health care. Such a system is downright evil.

So let me please act like so many of your brethren Republican scare tactic experts (and believe me at this you are only as good as your ghost writer and some of theirs are better. I did like the “death panel” line though.)

There are over five health care bills on the table two were written by politicians from both parties, non have been voted on. In the senate one has gone to committee and passed with over one hundred and forty nine Republican amendments.  Therefore you relying on Thomas Sowell’s evaluation is just as good as the finacial institutions reliance on the rating companies for mortgages. You can’t rate something that doesn’t exist. You can’t tell me what it will cost until you can tell me what it intends to do.

Sarah!  Have you been listening to those conservative entertainers again? Euthanasia is there latest get their attention and scare them to death daily talk ride. You may be right though if your side is in control “level of productivity” might become a criterion. If the person isn’t productive they won’t be able  to make the rich richer, or the status quo hold power.

Here we go Sarah lets start with the death panel remark:   Thomas Concannon was diagnosed with multiple myeloma and a bone marrow exchange was the procedure the doctor decided upon but while being prepped for surgery Cigna turned it down. Sarah if you wish to learn more about this insurance company death panel just click the words.

Sarah have you seen this news story?

By the way Sarah the State of Maryland loved this Insurance company for over one and one half million dollars.

Just in case Sarah if you haven’t heard there is an insurance company whistle blower  He actually helped orchestrate the last insurance company campain against health care reform. His name is Howard Porter. I know you haven’t heard him because just like the rest of the congressional radicals the other side has nothing good to say. This I found on a liberal blog

Sarah I am glad that you think a system that won’t cover your preexisting conditioned child, or refuses coverage that might save a life, a system that wastes money and cost too much is evil. Now that you know it is what you have now I am sure as a great American that you believe you are, you will join me in the cause for single payer health care. We however will need to find something to put in the bill to protect us from those who put business and the rich ahead of the masses.
